Jedd Fisch once again reached into his past to try to build a better future for Arizona Wildcats football.

Fisch hired Brennan Carroll as offensive coordinator and offensive trainer for the UA on Friday. Brennan, the son of Pete Carroll, currently works as the run game coordinator for his father with the Seattle Seahawks.

In 2011 and 12, Fisch and Brennan Carroll were among the same employees in Miami. Fisch was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Hurricanes. Carroll was her trainer and recruiting coordinator.

"Brennan and I have known each other for over 10 years," said Fisch in a press release. "I look forward to building this offense together." He has an incredible experience, grew up in a football house, was trained by the best in the business and has seen a culture of winning all his life.

“Brennan's positive attitude matches his football savvy. Our offensive linemen are trained to become professionals on and off the field. I look forward to working hand in hand with Brennan on developing an offensive system to restore the successful traditions of football in Arizona. "

Fisch's connection with the Carroll family dates back to the 2010 season, Pete Carroll's first as a Seahawks coach. Fisch was Seattle's QB trainer that year.

During this difficult year, the Arizona Bowl team did their best to keep the game dynamic

Brennan Carroll, 41, played a close end in Delaware and Pittsburgh. He began his coaching career in 2002/03 as an assistant to his father at USC. Brennan then coached and recruited the Trojans from 2004 to 2009 before spending four seasons in Miami. He joined Seahawks in 2015.

"I am humble and honored to be part of the University of Arizona," said Carroll. "Having the opportunity to reunite with Coach Fisch and his family was something my family and I had always hoped for.

“I always had great respect for the Pac-12 conference and really enjoyed my time in this league. I couldn't miss the opportunity to be part of the growth of this program. This is a great time to be part of the Wildcat family and my family and I can't wait to get to Tucson. "

It's unclear when Carroll will work for the UA. The Seahawks have qualified for the NFL playoffs, which begin next weekend. His duties in Seattle also include supporting offensive coach Mike Solari.

While at USC, Carroll coached Fred Davis, who won the 2007 Mackey Award for Best Ending in the Nation. In Miami, the Hurricanes had three top 15 recruiting classes while Carroll led that department.

Arizona is expected to add more assistant coaches early next week.
